Your Local Cannabis Store in Saskatoon

We see you, we GOT you.🫡 Happy 4/20!😚💨❤️ #yxe #420 #livingskies #shoplocalyxe #supportlocal

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately… But that’s because we’ve been busy behind the scenes 👀 Over the past few weeks we’ve been refreshing our stores! New paint, updated displays, and a few small upgrades we think you’ll notice right away (including a pretty cool table from @clothescafesaskatoon ). Still lots more to come, but we wanted to share a bit of the progress so far. If you’re stopping by this weekend, take a look around and while you’re here, there’s a mystery bundle in-store at each location with winners being picked on 4/20! Also… we’ve got something new coming soon 👀 More on that in the coming weeks!

We’ve been working on this behind the scenes for a while. Today, we’re introducing an updated visual identity for Living Skies. As we’ve grown, it felt important to evolve our brand to better reflect who we are today — and where we’re going. This refresh is focused on creating a more modern, elevated, and cohesive experience across all locations. Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see this new look rolled out in-store and online. We’re excited about this next chapter. #notAI #serious #yxe #rebrand #graphicdesign

Let's take it back to where it all began, our OG location on 3rd Ave! 🌟 This is where Living Skies first came to life, and it's still the heart of our community today. Known for its cozy atmosphere, friendly faces, and products for every kind of customer. It’s the perfect downtown stop for all your cannabis needs. (And if you’re lucky, you might spot Winston, our unofficial store mascot, stealing the show. 🐕) Come check us out in the heart of downtown! 🌿💚 . . . #LivingSkies #shoplocalyxe #yxe #WinstonsWorld

After 6 years of proudly serving Saskatoon as your local, independent cannabis shop, we have some news to share. Living Skies Cannabis has been acquired by CannaCo Global. What does this mean for you? Well… ✅ Higher prices ✅ Generic cannabis selection ✅ A robotic customer experience with zero personality ✅ And best of all… a call center to answer all your questions (Press 1 for disappointment, Press 2 to be put on hold forever). But don’t worry—we’ll still be here for a few more days before the suits come in and change everything you love about us. So stop by while you still recognize the place! …oh, and one more thing… April Fools! 😆 We’re still proudly independent, locally owned, and dedicated to bringing you the best cannabis experience in Saskatoon. But in all seriousness, it is tough out there for independent cannabis shops right now. Many small, locally owned stores are being bought up by large corporations. So while this is meant to be a lighthearted April Fools’ Day post, this is the reality many struggling independents are faced with. If you love what we do, keep supporting independent cannabis retailers like us! Your support keeps small businesses alive and helps us continue bringing you the best selection, service, and community vibe. Thank you for sticking with us, Saskatoon! 💚🌿 #StillIndependent #SupportLocal #LivingSkiesForever

Each of our four locations has its own unique vibe—first up, Fairlight! 💎 This west-end gem is known for its friendly, laid-back atmosphere, and a team that really knows their stuff—just ask our shop cats (they’ve seen it all). 🐾 Whether you're stopping by for something specific or just browsing, our team is here to help you find exactly what you need. Living Skies Cannabis turns 5 years old tomorrow🎈 It’s wild to think that an idea I had as a university student has grown to 4 retail locations, worked at by truly amazing LSC team members, and supported by such a fantastic community, my hometown, Saskatoon. Please join me in congratulating my team and give yourselves a round of applause for supporting local! What a wonderful and magical 5 years in business. From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone. ❤️ Come visit us this weekend to enjoy some birthday happenings in store! 🥳 -Cierra

Even though it was extra spooky at LSC today, there were no tricks, only TREATS!🍬🎃👻 Hope all you folks had an awesome hallo-weed!✌️

⚠️BIG NEWS in the cannabis space!⚠️ We are pleased to let you know that we NO LONGER require photo ID from all you lovely folks every time you make a purchase in our stores. The SLGA waved goodbye to ID checks for those who look over 25 years old! 🙌 For all you young-lookin’ people, make sure you still carry photo ID with you while shopping at LSC! (If we ask for your ID, treat it as a compliment!😉) This rule change is a huge step in the right direction for normalizing cannabis and ending the stigma that surrounds our industry. 🥳 #shoplocal

This weekend our team had the privilege of having @prairieharmreduction come and train us on how to identify and assist in the event of an opioid overdose. They’ve equipped all of our locations with narcan and naloxone kits as well as education so we can assist when an overdose is occurring. All of our LSC locations now have narcan and naloxone kits readily available so if you’re out in the community and an overdose is happening, know you can access these kits as well as someone who knows how to use them at any of our locations!⚠️ A huge thank you to our trainer, Keith, for providing an engaging and eye opening training session for our staff (free of charge)! If you’re a business or an individual who is interested in learning how to help in the event of an overdose, reach out to @prairieharmreduction to book a training session. Overdoses can happen (and are happening) anytime and anywhere in our community, these kits are the difference between life and death.

🌞The most coveted long weekend in SK is on the horizon🌞 Bask in the sunshine☀️, breathe in the fresh air💨, and enjoy nature this weekend🌸! Whatever your plans are, have fun and be safe! PS, we got shortened hours on Monday (May 22) 12-6pm all locations!! #shoplocal #sweetskies

⚠️CALLING ALL NEW AND SEASONED GROWERS!⚠️ We have a full line up of new and exciting cannabis seeds available now! The growing season has begun! Whether you’re a seasoned grower or a new grower, we have something for everyone! For folks looking to get into growing, we are now offering a “starter kit” that has everything you need to start your canna-garden (minus the seeds)! Stop by any of our locations to get growin’! 🌱 #shoplocal #growlocal

This event, Puff and Putt will connect leading cannabis brands with a full-house of intrigued budtenders with music, munchies, prizes and much more! Hey Saskatoon! Do these people look familiar to you? We had a rat infestation in the wee hours this morning.🤢 Our 8th street location doesn’t open until 11AM fellas! If you know of anyone trying to sell 2 iPads or a bunch of LSC hoodies, this may be them! We’re just hoping they keep a hoodie for themselves, they are dope hoodies. Luckily no one was hurt and these fools didn’t get much. We have $2500 for anyone with info that leads to an arrest! These guys knew what they were doing and we don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Send us a DM or email us at livingskies.ask@gmail.com. They can break our glass but not our spirits!

And just like that we are 4 years old!✨ We were reminiscing about all the growth we’ve experienced over the years and some things had us laughing. If you’ve been shopping with us since day one, who remembers when we had a 2 item cannabis limit so we didn’t run out of weed? 😂 It’s also strange to think there was a time when we didn’t offer cartridges or edibles!! There have been many changes over the last 4 years but one thing has remained the same.. the support and love we feel from all of you! Thank you Saskatoon for an amazing 4th year in business! We wouldn’t be here (all four locations) if it wasn’t for you folks choosing Living Skies, for choosing to shop LOCAL! As always, a HUGE shout out to our awesome staff, whether they’ve been with us for our whole journey or just a small portion, thank you! ❤️

Happy Halloween 🎃👻 from all of your faves @ LSC!!! Bonus points if you can guess the strain names of the peeps in the first photo!!

Friday is National Truth & Reconciliation Day. As a cannabis retailer, operating on Treaty 6 land, we are working towards carrying more Indigenous brands in our stores. Representation in our industry is needed. Current Indigenous brands operating within the legal framework are facing higher barriers of entry than non-Indigenous companies. They are also navigating legislation that is lacking in terms of consultation with Indigenous communities.   Here are a couple of brands we sell at LSC that are delivering prosperity and social impact to the communities where they live and work. We would like to see more partnerships with Indigenous brands so we can continue to stock products like these and more. Let’s push the industry to work towards advancing lasting, meaningful, reconciliation. Come check out @jbudscannabis and #Allnationscannabis this week while quantities last💨   What you can do today? * Pick up a few of these products in store * Join us in direct donation to a local organization. This month we’re donating to Saskatoon Indian and Métis Friendship Centre * Attend an event/take part in self learning Thank you for reading and participating! 🧡

Sorry we haven’t been on here for awhile. We’ve been enjoying the dog days of summer! 🐶☀️ Come on by, Winston is waiting to check your ID! 😎

At the beginning of June we asked you folks to help us fundraise for two organizations in our city. Well you folks SHOWED UP! Thank you to our customers for your generosity throughout the month of June! You folks donated $1000 so we were able to match that bringing the total up to $2000! What an amazing community we get to be apart of! Thank you to @chokecherry.studios and @outsaskatoon for your continued work in our city! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💗💙🖤🤎

🪴There are currently more than 50,000 Canadians living with non-violent cannabis convictions across the country. These convictions can get in the way of their ability to travel, work, and live their life to the fullest! @Flowrcanada is working diligently to change this.🪴 🪴Join us tomorrow, Friday July 1st, 3:30pm-5:30pm at Living Skies Cannabis on 8th Street to sign the Flowr Pardons Petition, learn about their amazing products, and to plant your very own succulent “Flowr” jar!🪴

✨As a local business, we understand the importance of supporting local and shining a light on all the talent our community has to offer.✨ ✨We want to give artists a place to showcase and sell their products without the typical cost of brick and mortar.✨ ✨We are looking for local, handmade goods (specially those that make sense in a cannabis store) to sell in our stores. If this sounds like you, or anyone you know, hit us up at livingskies.ask@gmail.com✨

Another reminder to please be kind. Our staff are getting verbally abused, swung at, and physically spit on. This is unacceptable behavior. Our staff are not safe at work. @premierscottmoe help us out here. How many staff members need to be abused before WE receive some accommodation? We’re doing our best to accommodate everyone but no one is helping us. #SOS

We encourage you to use our online platform www.shopLSC.ca when doing curb-side orders as this is the most efficient option for our stores during this transition. If you only have cash, please use the online menus to browse and make your selections. Call the correct store location to let them know you require a cash curb-side pickup and tell them what you’d like to order. Call the store again when you arrive outside. ***To check out our online store click the link in our bio.*** You can also find our menus by heading to www.Leafly.ca, search “Living Skies” in the search bar, select the store and browse the menu. Lots of options! ** if you have proof of vaccination, disregard these instructions. You can come visit us in store, all shops are open regular hours.

Today is Canada’s first nationally recognized day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today is bigger than simply wearing an orange shirt. Today is about acknowledging and reflecting on the tragedy that was Indian Residential Schools. It is about the children who were taken from their homes, who never got to go home again, who were abused, who were murdered, who had their identities stripped away from them, who had to go on with their lives after being subjected to so much pain and suffering. Today is about recognizing the intergenerational trauma that persists from these schools. By having this day, it is a step forward but only a small step. There is much more that needs to be done in achieving actual Truth and Reconciliation. Reconciliation work is achieved through indigenous people AND non-indigenous people. The work needed to be done will require all parties and not just performative allyship. Today we stand with indigenous people. Today we amplify indigenous voices. Reflection is the key to learning. Think of a family member and why you value their existence. Now imagine them never making it past the age of 6. What would this person, you and others, have missed out on? #everychildmatters🧡

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ We learned yesterday that we are part of the businesses who will need to require proof of full vaccination (or a negative COVID test within the last 72 hours*) upon entry into our store along with your photo ID as mandated by the provincial government. We ask that you please be kind to us and every other business who has to take part in this mandate. We will not tolerate abuse, verbal or physical, in relation to this matter. We understand people have their opinions on the subject but please keep those to yourself while shopping with us and while visiting other businesses. We still offer online delivery/pick-up and curbside pick-up options. Please call a Living Skies location to learn more.
